Why You Will Love Cal Block!

Calcium and scale defense for pools

If you’re looking to protect your pool tiles and surrounding materials from calcium and hard scale buildup, Cal Block is the perfect solution. This multi-surface protectant helps reduce future buildup, restores surfaces to their original beauty, and makes treated areas significantly easier to clean. Safe, non-toxic, and easy to apply, Cal Block is the smart way to maintain your pool’s appearance with minimal effort.

Cal Block works on tile, porcelain, glass, concrete, pavers, rock features, and more. It’s a highly versatile solution compatible with most materials commonly found around pools. For the best results, apply every 3 to 6 months to prevent calcium and efflorescence buildup. You can use it on both new and previously installed materials — as long as the surface is clean and dry.

Application is simple. Cal Block should always be the final layer applied — after sealers or any other treatments. It’s not a coating and dries clear and invisible. Just make sure the surface is clean and dry, and remove any fish from the area (Cal Block can be harmful to aquatic life until dry). Spray the product evenly, let it dry, then apply a second coat. Buff off any residue on polished surfaces if needed. That’s it — it’s fast, effective, and long-lasting.

If you’re looking to:

  • Protect pool tile, rock features, concrete, glass, or other materials
  • Defend surfaces from calcium and efflorescence damage
  • Stop hard scale buildup before it bonds
  • Make surfaces easier to clean and maintain long-term
  • Use a non-toxic, eco-safe protectant
  • Keep surfaces looking like new
  • Apply a solution that works in minutes and lasts for months
  • Easily apply with a sprayer or brush

Then Cal Block is exactly what you need. Each gallon covers approximately 1,000–1,300 square feet, giving you excellent value and professional-grade results. Whether you're maintaining a new installation or restoring an older surface, Cal Block delivers unmatched protection and performance.

CLEANED WITH HEAVY CALCIUM RELEASER, THEN APPLIED TR3, AND THEN CAL BLOCK

DIRECTIONS:

Cal Block should be the final product applied to any surface, even after sealers. This is not a coating or topical — Cal Block is completely invisible once dry and will not alter the appearance of the surface. Only apply to new or clean, dry existing surfaces.

⚠️ WARNING: Cal Block is harmful to fish until dry. Do not spray near water containing fish. Remove any aquatic life before treating surfaces.

Application Steps:

  1. Lower the water level below the tile line or turn off water features as needed to access the treatment area.
  2. Spray Cal Block evenly onto the clean, dry surface and let it dry for 5–10 minutes. A second coat is recommended to ensure complete protection.
  3. After the second coat dries, buff off any excess residue on polished surfaces. If spotting appears, lightly respray Cal Block and wipe immediately.
  4. Once fully dry, the surface is ready for normal use and water exposure.
  5. Maintain treated surfaces with LayorCare’s Pre-Treat Cleaner, brushing or scrubbing as needed. To remove any future calcium or efflorescence buildup, use LayorCare’s Heavy Calcium Releaser.

Important Notes:

  1. DO NOT DILUTE. USE AS IS.
  2. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN AND PETS.
  3. COVERAGE: 1,000–1,300 sq. ft. per gallon
